Not as much ankle stability like boots provide but it’s slightly more security than regular sandals do. They are cute and I love the design. The feathers do shed a bit but that’s expected
I did notice when my foot started to sweat that my feet were sliding
(You can buy shoe straps from Amazon to wrap around your arch to give a firmer fit which is what I did to help)
