Bought these as my first pair of pole heels after borrowing a friend's pair of size 8 Adore 1020 boots. I'm usually an 8 1/2 in heels and the 8s were way too small and pinched my feet but doable to dance in for half an hour to try them out. I figured 9s would be perfect and the shorter heel would be good as a beginner...these were tighter than the 8s. I couldn't stand in them they were so painful. Just sitting wearing them for 10 minutes had my toes aching.
I returned them and just went for a pair of adores, if you're set on the shorter heel...maybe go up a size or 2
